Omega 3 is an essential Fatty Acid sourced from Fish Oil, which is rich in EPA (Eicosapentaenoic Acid) and DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid). As humans are incapable of synthesising Omega 3, it is essential that we consume them via dietary sources. There are several types of Omega 3 fatty acids. The two critical ones EPA and DHA are primarily found in certain fish. The UK government recommends an average daily intake of 200mg, which represents 2-3 portions of oily fish per week.
